1. ADMISSIONS

The P.R.C.S. office is staffed from the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the days that the school is in session.

2. STUDENT FEES INFORMATION AND REGISTRATION

3. AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR NEW STUDENTS:

Pre-Kinder: Child must be 4 years old by August 31

Kinder: Child must be 5 years old by August 31

First Grade: Child must be 6 years old by August 31
 

4. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR NEW STUDENTS

• Letter of conduct (K-12)
• Birth certificate (PK, K, 1)
• Puerto Rico immunization record (P-VAC-3)
• Transfer students must bring previous grades, letter of conduct, and letter of credit from previous school.
• Psychometric test result (Kinder Only) 

5. ENTRANCE TESTING:

Children will be tested individually before being accepted as students at P.R.C.S. from Kinder through 12th grade. Test are given by appointment as space is available. Bring transfer record and or last grade cards plus letter of conduct to the teacher doing the testing. Registration fee must be paid immediately upon passing the test. A non-refundable testing fee charge per child will be made at the time of testing. Applicants who do not come at the scheduled testing time given will lose their opportunity for space to the next qualified applicant present.
 

6. ADMISSIONS POLICIES:

Please read the Admissions Policy in the office reception area, or request a copy. Parental cooperation with school policies and regulations is required for both admission and continued enrollment in P.R.C.S. Any false statement or attempted cheating in registration procedures or application is cause for refusing admission or expelling student after admission.
 

7. CURRICULUM AND TEXTBOOKS

Puerto Rico Christian School uses a variety of textbooks in our curriculum. Our curriculum is a Christ-centered program which sets high academic standards for our students.

Whenever practical, Christian textbooks are used at PRCS. The A Beka series is used in science classes when possible. In other subjects our textbooks come from Houghton Mifflin, Silver Burdett & Ginn, Prentice Hall, and other publishers.

Daily Bible classes utilize the Bible as the main textbook, and include considerable memorization of scripture passages. Some grades may also use workbooks or supplementary texts. The Bible or Biblical principles are integrated into every academic area. 

PRCS provides the textbooks and workbooks needed by students. All hardcover books remain the property of PRCS, and shall be returned at the end of the school year or upon leaving PRCS permanently.

All books will be checked when handed out at the beginning of the school year and reevaluated at the end of the year for any damages. Students are expected to take care and not mark, tear, or damage any textbook assigned to them.

All school books should be covered with loose (not adhesive backed) book covers. If damage or loss occurs, a fine or replacement cost may be assessed. Consumable textbooks are the property of the student and do not need to be returned.
